The inspiration for GrantAI came from our firsthand experience with the complexities of grant writing. Having run a digital mental health company in Africa for five years, where grant funding was crucial.

We experienced the challenges that many nonprofits face:

• the overwhelming hours spent on writing proposals

• the expertise gap in crafting successful applications

• the need for tailored narratives to stand out, ever-changing grant landscapes

GrantAI was born out of a need to solve our problem and to assist thousands of other organizations in winning more funding. Our platform leverages AI technology to revolutionize grant writing. It offers an AI-powered co-writer that crafts tailored responses, understanding each organization's unique context. This technology not only speeds up the application process but also increases the chances of funding success, allowing organizations to focus more on their mission.

Alex Royea and I (David Henia), with our combined experience in product development and technology, lead GrantAI. Our journey with Wazi, our previous venture, enriched us with valuable insights into building impactful products and navigating the social impact space. Our Progress and Vision

Since our beta launch in July 2023, we have seen encouraging progress, with over 200 signups and several paying customers. This traction is just the beginning. Our vision for GrantAI is to expand our reach and help more organizations across the globe to win the funding they need to advance their social missions.
